TOP 6 MEDICAL CAMPAIGN VIDEOS
THAT INSPIRE ACTION

Blog

What makes a successful healthcare video? It's not just about being entertaining or heartfelt; it's about inspiring people to take action for their health or encouraging others to do the same. Without action, people don't walk through the doors of medical centers. Without action, there is no healing or preventative care. We highlight videos that inspire action because action is what saves lives. After hours of viewing videos, here are the six favorite video ads.

01

ALBERTA CANCER  FOUNDATION

Sometimes words aren’t necessary, and being in the room with your loved ones is enough. Having more time for family is the number one reason people fight to live another day. The Alberta Cancer Foundation gets to the heart of why people should want care now and not later because life is too good for there to be a goodbye.

02

PEYTON MANNING FOR

ASCENSION

The success of this video hinges on Peyton Manning being the star. However, some things are best demonstrated by example, such as when Peyton asks his father to do a checkup. Sometimes, children are the best motivators for parents to stay healthy. I put this video at the top of my list because it emphasizes action at its core, and it acknowledges that the other person can say "no" but Peyton asks anyway.

03

NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN: STAY AMAZING

A young professional deals with a sudden stroke weeks before his wedding. Told in a way that I believe young adults can relate to, this video ad educates people on what a stroke is without it feeling like medical awareness. Good storytelling has a way of educating effortlessly. Through awareness, viewers can have a framework on how to act should a similar situation present itself.

04

MALE CANCER AWARENESS: PROSTATE SCREENING

Sometimes, the simplest messages are best said plainly. One in twelve Black men die of prostate cancer. Having Black celebrities convey this message clearly works well.

05

ORTHO HEALTH POKES FUN AT DENIAL

Of all the videos on this list, this video ad feels more like the traditional ads Millennials and older generations grew up watching on TV. Seniors put off going to the doctors despite obvious signs of unhealthy, deteriorating mobility. Not being afraid to poke fun at denial, this video ad identifies with seniors' health issues with humor.

06

DAYTON CHILDREN'S  HOSPITAL: CONJOINED TWINS

Hospitals often showcase their top-notch medical talent and advancements in video ads. When done through the lens of patient care by showing stories of patients, this feels like the best of human advancement grounded in a collaborative effort fueled by hope and love. Through the case of conjoined twins, Dayton Children's Hospital's best surgeons were able to prep, study, and work with their team to separate twins joined at the head. Video ads on medical excellence without a patient-centric story are about the institution; however, medical excellence and ingenuity that follow a patient-centric story show your community that you work hard only for them.

After spending hours watching medical content, I find the content that embraces patients at the center of the messaging feels and sounds the best. Why do I prioritize feeling and sounding good? I believe that emotions are a big part of why people remember video content and their messaging. It resonates deeper to hopefully lead people to action.
